Back to the grind

Finally got the finger out and Chapter 2 is now up and ready for consumption.

Hope you guys like it.

Eurogamer Blowout

Been far too long since I wrote on this page.

Since I last posted, I’ve changed jobs, moved house and hit up the streets of London for another Midlife Gamer meetup for Eurogamer.

Good times.

I have set myself the task of getting at least the first 5 chapters done before the end of the year, so Im planning one a month. Will update again once I get the chance.

And so it begins

Well, the game of the year work out of the way, I finally found time to get my novel started and up and online.

I do have a full outline of the story, with approximately 20 key events during the course of the book, but as I said before I fail to retain the drive to get it finished.

Now that the prologue is up, I can hopefully get some constructive feedback to push me to getting the damn thing finished finally.

Year of Shame

YOS-Logo-Show-Notes1Being an ardent gamer, the current Year of Shame challenge, to refrain from buying a any new games unless I complete two from my pile of outstanding games, seems contrary to my role as a video game critic, but I am glad to say that the undertaking that begun in September following our Midlife Gamer Eurogamer meetup, is progressing well.

Even with my Christmas gift of a brand new PS Vita with multiple games from my good lady, I am still on track at 50% completion.

I think, with the new year bearing down on me fast, that finally putting my focus into my writing, opposed to sinking countless hours into new games will be the best resolution I could commit to for my own benefit.
